In the spirit of the Super Bowl over this past weekend, I’m sharing this commercial with you all.  I think it’s one of my favorite Walt Disney World commercials.  I don’t know why, because I really couldn’t care less about football, but it just makes me happy watching it.  I hope you enjoy it too!

Awesome Commercial

Ok, one more thing to add today.  This commercial is obviously not showing anywhere near me, but I’m glad the official Disney blog posted it.

I LOVE Chip and Dale and I think they’re not featured enough.  I hope you enjoy the Groundhog’s day spoof as much as I did.

The Frenzy Begins

Well, I’m a little less than nine months away from my next Walt Disney World trip.  This time I’m going on the trip of a lifetime.

I will be going to WDW with my husband, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, niece, nephew, brother-in-law, and his soon-to-be-wife.  Holy Crap, many of you may be thinking, but to be perfectly honest, I really lucked out with my in-laws, and I really like spending time with all of them.  They all happen to really like Walt Disney World too, so it won’t be as painful as it may be with many other families.  Currently my biggest concern is that they’re going to actually find out how much I know about WDW and how much I love it, and I’ll never be thought of as normal again.

Since I’m so far out from this trip, I’ve tried to hold back my excitement/impatience by trying to find new information about the parks.  Not possible you say?  Well, I thought so too.  Until I bought the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World and found a plethora of good and slightly new information in its pages.  (Thank you Angie for the Barnes and Noble gift card which I used to buy it.  Otherwise Matt would have never allowed it.  Kidding!  Kind of…)

I’ve only made it through about the first 50 pages out of 864 or there about, but I’ve already found new information and websites that have stifled the crazy anticipation.  For example, as I’m writing this post, I’m listening to Mouse World radio (channel 2).  Mouse World radio plays music from the Disney parks.  And I mean all of it.  I think my favorite parts are the 30 seconds of “Tip for Today” from the Resort TV stations, or the commercials for the parks.  It makes my crazy work life a little more bearable when I can close my eyes and feel like I’m sitting on the bed of my favorite resort room getting ready to head out to the parks.  I know there are many versions of this site out there, but I like the variety in the different stations.  The stations do fill up during the day, so keep trying if you can’t listen right away.  There is also an app for your phone, which has never been busy for me, but you don’t get channel choices.

Speaking of apps for your phone, touringplans.com also has a mobile site that lists the current wait times in the parks.  The wait time information is unofficial as it’s dependent on those who are at the parks making updates, but I know I’m excited to try it out when I get down there.  I’ll probably enter a few times myself.  To learn more about it, go to m.touringplans.com on your smartphone or go here.  You will need a login to use it, but it’s free. (UPDATE: There is now a “Lines” app for smart phones.  Your first day is free, after that you need a TouringPlans.com membership to access the information.  You can get memberships for as low as $5-6 with purchase of the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World.)

That’s where I’ll eave you for now, otherwise I’ll have nothing new to tell you about in the coming months.  Later!
